Compare before and after

Keep one capture on screen and compare later ones against it.

Useful when changing a component, a setting in your code, or a supply voltage, to see exactly what changed.

  1. Get a steady trace of the signal as it is now.
  2. Press Reference (or R). The trace stays on screen, dashed, and its frequency and peak to peak show under the screen.
  3. Make your change. The live trace now draws over the reference.
  4. Press New reference to keep a newer capture instead, or Clear ref to remove it.
