Measure a signal's frequency and size

Read a signal's frequency, period and voltage in a few seconds.

  1. Connect the signal (or start the demo board) and press Run.
  2. Press Autoset so a few cycles fill the screen.
  3. Read the measurements beside the screen:
    • Frequency and Period for how fast it repeats;
    • Peak to peak for its size, Minimum and Maximum for its limits;
    • RMS for its effective value, Mean for its average level.
  4. To measure one particular part of the wave, press Stop and use the cursors.

If Frequency shows a dash, there is less than a full cycle on screen: lengthen the time per division or press Autoset again.
