Troubleshooting
The board did not reply
What to try when the scope cannot connect to a board, or the trace stops.
“The board did not reply in time”
The scope asked the board who it is, and heard nothing back.
- Check the sketch was uploaded to this board, and that you chose the same board in the Board list.
- Close the Arduino IDE’s Serial Monitor, or any other program using the port. Only one program can use it at a time.
- Unplug the board, plug it in again, and press Connect.
- Try another USB cable. Some cables carry power only.
- On an ESP32, if it still does not answer, try another USB port.
The trace stops, or “Blocks lost” climbs
- A cable or port that drops out briefly loses captures. Try another port, preferably one on the computer itself rather than a hub.
- A very busy computer can fall behind at the fastest rates. Lower the Sample rate.
The browser does not offer Connect
Connecting to a board needs Web Serial: Chrome or Edge, or Firefox 151 or later, on a computer. The demo board works everywhere.
