Demo signal
Change the demo board's signal to explore the scope without hardware.
With the demo board running, Demo signal in the controls sets what it produces.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Waveform | Sine, square or triangle |
| Frequency, hertz | How many cycles a second |
| Amplitude, volts peak | How far the wave swings above and below its middle |
| Noise, volts peak | Random noise added on top, to see how the measurements cope |
| Duty cycle, percent | For a square wave, the share of each cycle spent high |
The demo signal is centred on 1.65 V, the middle of a 3.3 V board’s range, like a real signal on an ESP32 or Pico.
