The screen
What the screen shows, and what you can do on it with the pointer, a finger or the wheel.
The screen is the scope’s graticule: ten divisions across, eight down. Above it, the status strip says whether the scope is running and gives the time per division, the sample rate and the trigger. Below it, the channel badge gives the input pin, the volts per division and the centre voltage.
Read a value
Rest the pointer on the trace, or tap it on a phone, to see the time and the voltage at that point. Over the spectrum, it gives the frequency and level instead. Move away, or tap somewhere else, to hide it.
Move the trace up and down
Drag anywhere on the trace view to move the trace up or down. This changes the centre voltage.
Set the trigger level
The small marker at the right edge is the trigger level. Drag it up or down. See Trigger.
Zoom in time
Turn the mouse wheel over the screen to change the time per division.
Go back in time
While the scope is stopped, the History bar under the screen steps back through the last 100 captures, to find a glitch that has already scrolled past. Press Run to return to live.
